The state starts a war when it is sure of the support of the majority of society. When he believes that people want blood and are ready to make sacrifices. Public support for the war allows the authorities to say that the people want "the restoration of justice by military force."
In order to get this popular support, the state unleashes propaganda for war, forms the image of an enemy out of the future victim, creates in society the illusion of a quick and bloodless (they don’t talk about upcoming deaths at all) victory.
Occupation wars begin under patriotic cries about the power of the country and the wounded pride of a large people. It is a great misfortune if, in response to these cries, an answering voice is not heard - the voice of opponents of war, supporters of peace.
