Government pledges to more than triple research spending by 2030

Сhemist Alexey Bobrovsky, a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences says: “We’ve essentially reverted to the early 2000s, exacerbated by the isolation of Russian science” because of sanctions imposed as a result of the war in Ukraine. “Given the overall economic situation in Russia, such plans of the Russian state are too optimistic.”
